Changes

I started this blog, and then forgot about it, until I recently thought again about trying to write one and began looking for a place to open one. It has been some time since I last posted, we will see if that cannot be changed.

What has changed since my last post? The government is so deep in debt it will never be paid, even all of the taxes cannot pay the interest due. Many more laws have been passed taking away even more rights and freedoms. And some parts of the government have grown either much larger than they were, or much more evil.

Still, it is bad enough to have an evil government, since there has never been a government that was not evil. Some have started with good intentions, but the evil within always grows until there is nothing left of the government but evil, it is the natural progression of all governments.

If only it was just the government, in too many ways the people themselves have followed the same path. And that is sad, but not unexpected. It wasn't so long ago, that the church was a good example, and this was even called a Christian nation. Of course this is not a nation, but a union of fifty indepenent and sovereign States. Maybe there is still hope that the church will turn around and return to the Lord, but as large denominations, I place no hope in that.

I will try and place more posts, and say plenty more on these and other topics. So many changes needed, but will any be made in the right direction?

What next?

Christians used to not only be accepted, but were seen as the normal, and that was only 40 years ago. As I went through school, that acceptance was taken away one step at a time. Now it has also been removed from our courts, prisons and almost from the military.
It will not be long before even churches are no longer allowed, and we should have been asking long ago: "What are they going to take away next?" But the Christians stayed silent, they could have been demanding the rights given to them by the constitution, but they would not speak up.
Now they are so busy cutting each other down, and showing a hatred toward GLBT folks, that the government continues to take their rights away, and few of them even notice. By the time they finally wake up, it will be too late. It is much harder now to take back what is rightfully ours, but it can still be done, as long as enough are willing to stand up and take action.
Of course, it is not only the Christians that our own government is attacking, by removing one right after another, it is every citizen of the United States. What this government is doing, is far more than what brought about the revolution against England. they were willing to stand up and pay the cost if they had too, are we?
I am not advising a second revolution, but to start local, and force them to obey the true laws of our land. So few people even know the true laws of the United States, that the law writers have been free to write a large number of laws that were void before the ink dried. A law that is against the constitution, cannot be enforced! Anyone who tries becomes a criminal. Which means all of this nations former peace officers (they now call themselves law enforcement officers) are now a band of criminals who should be sent to prison.
While at first this may not seem to be a Christian matter, why do you think so many Christians came here in the first place? Are you looking to become a slave of the federal government? Didn't we already have a war over turning people into slaves in 1865? This nation was founded on freedom, rights, liberty, religion and the pursuit of happiness!
They must be forced to ignore all laws that are in violation of the freedoms, rights and liberties guaranteed to every citizen of the United States. This is the only way Christians will continue to be free to worship the one true God. It is the only way we will continue to be a free people. if the Christians stand up as one, the rest of the people will fall in with them.

The Five Offices

I have been asked about the fivefold ministry. Since there are some folks out there who don't know what I was talking about, I will give a short description.
When Christ returned to the Father, he gave five offices to the church: Apostle, Prophet, Pastor, Teacher and Evangelist.
Ephesians 4:8,11; And he gave some, Apostles; and some, Prophets; and some Evangelists; and some, Pastors and Teachers.
1 Corinthians 12:28; And God has set some in the church, first Apostles, secondarily Prophets, thirdly Teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healing, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
There are many places in the New Testament where it talks about Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Teachers and Evangelists in the churches. This is just two of them.
There are churches who teach that the five offices disappeared when God's word was completed, but they have no support in God's word. The five offices Christ gave to the church, and the gifts & fruit of the Holy Spirit are just as much for today as they were for the church 2,000 years ago.

Welcome

Welcome to Goldenglory's blog:
This first post, is mainly to let folks know that I now have a Blog. What shows up here in the future, has a lot to do with what you the readers want to see. So post a note, and let those who pass through here know what is on your mind.
This is a Christian blog; there is nothing more important on earth, than spreading the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ. With the modern world the way it is, folks now come together from around the world, which makes a web page and blog a good way to reach out to people wherever they may be.
There are always many things going on in our daily lives, some are just day to day activities, others more important and we can use to talk about them with others.
Thank-you for dropping by,
Pastor Glory;
