On the way back to Sacramento, Viktor said: "Glory, several times you have called me Honey, I have nothing against it. It is nice to have someone close enough to call me something besides 'Mr. Anderson' or 'Sir' all of the time. But I don't call a lady anything but her name unless she asks me too. Would you rather I call you something other than 'Glory' and 'Miss Christensen?" I think Viktor was the first man I met who insisted on calling a lady by her proper name. So I said: "Viktor, if you are going to be my 'Lover Boy', you are going to have to come up with something a lot more intimate than 'Miss Christensen'. I don't care what you like to call your girlfriends, but I hear enough of 'Miss Christensen' from my customers." Viktor smiled and said: "Okay Glory, will you accept 'Baby' and can I call you 'Glo'" I answered: "That's fine Viktor, thank-you Honey. But I just might call you Lover Boy in private, when we're alone and intimate." It seemed that we had only just left San Francisco, when we were already landing in Sacramento. Mark stopped in front of Viktor's hanger and Sam hopped out and opened the doors. We got out after Sam and went back to Viktor's office in the hanger. He opened his liquor cabinet and pulled out two bottles of his Rose Liqueur and put them in a wood box for me. Then we left in Viktor's Cadillac and he drove me back to the cafe.
As he pulled up in front of my cafe he asked: "When can I see you again Baby?" I had a big smile as I said: "Lover Boy, you can see me as often as you like. After five o'clock on weekday's and every Sunday you want." Viktor had a smile almost as big as mine as he said: "Then Baby, I accept. I want you every Sunday all to myself! If you want, I would like to take you and 'The Girls' out on Friday night. I will stop by the cafe for lunch as often as I can." I leaned over and Viktor gave me a kiss, then I said: "Honey that sounds great to me, you have already changed my whole life for the better. Whenever I see you again, it won't be too soon! I will ask the girls about Friday night, but I really don't think they will turn you down." Then Viktor came around and opened my door, as I stood up he gave me a quick kiss and got back in and drove away. I stood there watching him until he turned the corner and was out of sight. I was so happy, and so in love with Viktor.
The rest of the day it was hard to concentrate on what I was supposed to be doing. As I walked into the cafe, I expected to find Susan there, and Ellen should have been showing up at any time. What I found was all of the 'Girls' sitting at a table talking, laughing and waiting for me to show up. When they saw me they all started clapping and cheering. Susan walked up and asked: "Well Glory, how did it go with 'Mr. Wonderful'?" I blushed a little and said: "Can't I even go out without all of you acting as if I was a little girl on her first date!" Karen said: "Come on Glory, that is no ordinary man you went out with, he is not only rich, he is also the best looking Guy that ever walked into this cafe. And we all know how long it has been since you went out with any man! This is the first time since I have been here that you spent the night with a man! Now come on and tell us all about it like you promised Ellen you would."
Susan and I went over and joined them at the table, and Ellen brought me a cup of coffee. For a Saturday evening, I almost didn't have any customers, so our whole group sat listening and asking questions as I told about Viktor and I in San Francisco. Then I told them about Viktor's offer to tak us out this Friday evening if they were willing. Marie said: "You can count me in Glory, you won't catch me refusing when a rich Gentleman offers to pay for a night on the town!" One after the other they agreed with Marie. Then Ellen asked: "So what are you going to do Glory? Now that you have a rich Lover, are you going to close up shop and run away with him?" I looked hurt as I said: "No! You don't have to worry about that. This cafe is going to stay open as long a customers keep coming through that door! And who knows, with Viktor's help, we may just expand into a full restaurant or open a second cafe across town. You Girls have been my best friends for years, I won't be running out on you."
Karen asked: "You are not going to run off to Lake Tahoe and marry him are you Glory? One night in San Francisco is not enough to know what kind of man he really is!" I looked at her for a while, Karen knew me better than that, then said: "I don't plan on marrying anyone now Karen, but I don't plan on letting him get away from me either."
Marie said with a smile: "Well I am happy for you Glory, it is about time someone came into your life. And from what I've been hearing about this Guy, the two of you might be a perfect match. If there is anything I can do to help, just let me know."
Then Susan said: "You have my vote too Glory!" And Karen: "You know I will stand behind you Glory, no matter what you choose to do. Just be careful, it's a wild world out there, and you don't need to get hurt by some man who is only interested in your beautiful body!"
