I didn't really expect to see or hear from Viktor on Tuesday, since he would have been tired from his trip to New York. But when he didn't come by for lunch on Wednesday, or even call me in the evening, I began to wonder if something was wrong. I decided if he did not show up for lunch on Thursday I would start trying to call him and make sure he was okay, and we were all still going out Friday night.

But a little after noon, Viktor came walking into the cafe and said: "Hi Baby, do you have a few minutes? I said: "Sure Honey, I'll always have time for you!" He sat down at the far end of the counter. As I sat a cup of coffee in front of him he said: "Glo, I have good news for you. Although I have not been able to find out where she is, I have found out who your daughter is. she was adopted by a couple named Mr. and Mrs. LaRoche, they named her Michaela. So now at least when you think of your daughter, you also have a name for her; Michaela LaRoche!"

I quietly said: "Thank-you Viktor, I don't know how you found her so quickly, but I am glad to know her name. After all of these years, my baby finally has a name.I was worried about you Honey, I know it has only been two days, but it seems like forever." He laughed and said: "Yes Baby, it seemed like a long time to me too."

"I went to my room and fell asleep after delivering the diamond Tuesday. It was late when I woke up, so I went and got some fast food, ate it in my room and went back to bed. I should have called you yesterday, but after getting an investigator started looking for your daughter, I got busy looking for your restaurant. I'll tell you and the girls about it on Friday. I still want you to help me find a house, and maybe now you can see why I want you to help me. I hope that you will live there with me one day!"

I said: "You know I will help you Honey, why don't we go see what we can find this Sunday?" I thought for a moment, and then said: "Honey, you said that you wanted a house that would be good for raising a family, have you thought about buying a small ranch or farm? If I had children, that is where I would want to raise them." He smiled and said: "That's what I've been waiting to hear Baby, I'll stop by a Real Estate agent this afternoon and find a few we can go look at Sunday."

"Glo, I hope you understand, everything I do now I do with you in mind. So tell me what kind of house you want on this ranch of ours?" I said: "I have always wanted a house like your beautiful Victorian in San Francisco! Lover Boy, I would love to stand here and talk to you all day, but I do have a cafe to run. Will you come back after five when we can sit and talk as long as we want?" Viktor looked kind of sad as he said: "I am sorry Glo, I know how much this cafe means to you. I have a couple of ideas I have not talked with you about yet, I will come back at five and see what you think of them. Good-bye for now Sweetheart!"

After Viktor was gone, Karen asked: "What was that all about Glory?" When I didn't say anything, but just kept wiping the counter she asked: "Are you okay Glory?" Then I said: "Yes Karen, you are as close to me as a sister. There is something I have never told you, for now I would rather you did not tell the others. I had a daughter when I was sixteen, Viktor is finding her for me. Today he told me her name is Michaela LaRoche. after all of these years, I may be seeing my daughter again soon. I don't know what to do Karen, if Viktor does find her, how can I face Michaela after I abandon her when she was a new born baby?"

Karen walked over with a strange look on her face and said: "You have a Daughter?" Why didn't you tell us a long time ago? We could have found her then!" I replied: "Because I abandon her in a hospital waiting room! No one but Viktor and now you, even knows that I had a baby. The parents she now has, are the only ones she has ever known. The best thing I can do for Michaela is stay out of her life, but Viktor insisted on finding her, so I let him. Now I know her name, that is enough."

Karen put her hand on mine and said: I am sorry Glory, I wish you had told me. Viktor is right you know, Michaela should at least know her Mother! You will be glad when this is over that Viktor stepped in and brought the two of you together again. Now, cheer up Glory, your life is looking brighter than it has in a long time.and who knows you may be Mrs. Anderson before long!" Then she gave me a big hug and went back to taking care of our customers.

The rest of the day went by very slowly, but finally Ellen and Susan came in and took over the cafe. Karen went home and I sat down to wait for Viktor to come back. A little after five, Viktor came in and sat down beside me at the table. Ellen came over with a couple cups of coffee and said: "Good evening Mr. Anderson," as she left without looking up Viktor said: "Baby, do you really want a restaurant?" I answered: "Until you asked the other day, I never gave it any thought. But I don't think a restaurant is what I have always wanted. I like my cafe, that is why I turned Mrs. Nelsson's restaurant into the 'Cafe Love'. I know that the girls and I could handle a full sized restaurant, but that is not what I have really wanted."
